HDA
From Odwiki
Houdini Digital Assets
HDA's are subnetwork type nodes which have been assigned a unique type and name by the artist. These nodes can contain networks of operations and they can host parameters which can be linked to objects within HDA.
These can be rigs or setups, for example. These are an incredibly powerful aspect of the Houdini architecture. Many of the nodes in the distribution of Houdini are themselves HDAs - containing networks of more operations.
HDAs are stored in a file format on disk called an OTL (Operator Type Library).
