HOUDINI PATH

The HOUDINI_PATH is compound path which is traversed by Houdini to gather configuration information. Look at CustomizingHoudini.

You can find out which directories will be search in the HOUDINI_PATH (even if the variable isn't set) by running: 

  hconfig -ap

Note: You might want to run the command through a pager like more
