This page will hopefully help you transition from 3d Studio Max to Houdini. A little known bit of info: when max was still in the process of being developed back in the days of 3d studio r4 (think DOS) there was a smart little program that looked a lot like what max would become and the main feature that they had in common is "The Stack". That program was PRISMS and PRISMS is the older sibling of Houdini. Credit to max, they really did make "The Stack" their own. While Houdini moved on to better things and that is why you are here.
