What is it?

The Sticky Object (relatively new in H7) allows one to generate a parent transform based on the location in space of a SOPs UV coordinates. One of its uses may be to take the UV attribute of the geometry and convert it to 3D world space position. In SOP equivalent, one may use primuv().

Another use of the Sticky object is to have one object 'ride' along the surface of another object (such as a boat on water). The location on the surface to stick to is defined by uv coordinates. As a consequence, it is necessary to make sure the surface you want to 'stick' to has appropriate uv coordinates.
