TIFF
From Odwiki
(Redirected from Tif)
One of many FileFormats used to store images. TIFF is an acronym for Tagged Image File Format.
The TIFF standard is very flexible and can store images in a variety of ways. Images can be stored in almost any bit depth from single bit black and white images to full floating point images. They can have different compression modes, very large resolutions, different planar configurations, as well as user defined information (like artist name) associated with them.
In Houdini, TIFF's are output by default using the AdobeDeflate compression tag. This means that they will load in Photoshop but not After Effects. To save out TIFF's to load in After Effects, you will need to change from AdobeDeflate to StandardDeflate.
